FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a first electromagnetic wave generator of fixed frequency, a first antenna for receiving the reflected electromagnetic waves, the first mixer of radiated and received electromagnetic waves, and a computing device. The device also comprises a second generator of fixed frequency electromagnetic waves, connected through the main waveguide of the second directional coupling unit to the second antenna for radiating electromagnetic waves towards the liquid surface normally, the second antenna for receiving the reflected electromagnetic waves, the second mixer of radiated and received electromagnetic waves to the first and the second inputs of which the second generator is connected, respectively, through the auxiliary waveguide of the second directional coupling unit, and the second antenna for receiving reflected electromagnetic waves, the control device, which first and second inputs through respectively the first and a second low-pass filters connected to outputs of the first and second mixers, the controlled reference generator, the first, second and third outputs of the control device are connected, respectively, to the input of the first generator, the second generator and to the first input of the controlled reference generator, the second input of which through the high-pass filter is connected to the output of the second mixer, phase metre which first and second inputs are connected, respectively, to the output of the high-pass filter, and the first output of the controlled reference generator, the first and second inputs of the computing device are connected, respectively, to the outputs of the controlled reference generator and the phase metre.

EFFECT: improvement of accuracy of measurements.
