SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar and is designed to measure radar characteristics of targets. The device comprises a transceiving antenna with vertical and horizontal polarisations of radiation, a waveguide directed divider of polarisations with the main arm of square cross section and two orthogonal side arms, made on waveguides of rectangular cross section, a synchroniser of device operation, a pulse modulator, two power amplifiers, a high frequency mixer (HF), a reference frequency generator, a heterodyne, two orthogonal receiving channels, each comprising: an amplitude recorder and serially connected: a switch, an intermediate frequency mixer (IF), an IF amplifier, an IF filter and a phase metre.
EFFECT: elimination of errors in measurement of dispersion matrix elements caused by conditions of two-way reception, due to usage of a waveguide directed divider of polarisations and a transceiving antenna with vertical and horizontal polarisations of radiation, which provide for one-way conditions of dispersion matrix measurement with an absolute phase of a target.
