FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: LASIK procedure is performed as follows: first emitter generates first laser pulses having a power density adequate for the photodegradation inside the corneal tissue; the first laser pulses supplied to the corneal tissue is directed and profiled; a second emitter generates second laser pulses having a power density adequate for the ablation of the corneal tissue; the second laser pulses are directed and profiled with respect to the cornea; a controller equipped with an exposure program to control the first emitter and the first laser pulses when performing a corneal incision is provided; it is also equipped with a second exposure program to control the second emitter and the second laser pulses when re-profiling the cornea and changing its displaying functions. Regular structures are eliminated by actuating a third exposure program that ensures the respective control of the second emitter and the second laser pulses.
EFFECT: performing the first exposure program ensures forming the regular structures that create the corneal displaying functions variations in a combination with the iridisation effect, on the corneal surface.
