FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: point of damage is determined in two steps. The first step includes the assumption that all wires are damaged. The point of damage is determined from currents and voltages of all wires before and after the point of the assumed damage. The signal of the magnitude of the difference between current moduli before and after the point of damage detected at the first step, the signal of the magnitude of the difference between voltage moduli before and after said point, the phase shift between the voltage and current of each wire before said point and phase shift between voltage and current after said point and the magnitude of the difference between the first and second phase shifts are determined for each wire. Said three difference signals of each wire are compared with respective thresholds. Wires of the power grid are divided into undamaged and damaged, where wires for which all three difference signals do not exceed their thresholds are classified as undamaged. At the second step, the point of damage is determined from currents and voltages of only second wires before and after the point of the assumed damage.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and broader functional capabilities.
