SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a wearing product, particularly such as a disposable diaper, and to a method for making it. A wearing product (1) has border portions (border portions for legs and waist border portions) formed by sheet additions. Elastic elements (6, 7, 8) are placed in an extended conditions on sheets in the border portions so that they extend along the borders. Those portions of the sheets whereon the elastic elements (6, 7, 8) are provided, are subject to a technological stretching process towards extension and contraction of the elastic elements (6, 7, 8) to form the portions (P1, P2) subject to the technological stretching process. The elastic elements (5) are formed on ribbon-like sheets (15) that form three-dimensional assemblies (18) and those portions of the ribbon-like sheets (15) wherein the elastic elements (5) are provided, are subject to the technological stretching process towards extension and contraction of the elastic elements (5) to form the portions (P3) subject to the technological stretching process.
