FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to animal breeding, in particular, to green sorgo mass preservation and may be used in fodder production. The green sorgo mass preservation method involves initial raw materials milling, compaction, sealing and storage. Into the initial raw materials one adds a preserving agent i.e. a mixture of granulated elemental sulphur in a melted condition and powder ammonium chloride in an amount of 1.5 and 2 g respectively or a mixture of granulated elemental sulphur and calcium chloride in an amount of 1.5 g and 2 g respectively per 1 kg of green sorgo mass.
EFFECT: method allows to enrich silage with nutritive substances, enhance the silage quality and expand the range of preserving agents.
