SUBSTANCE: proposed electric traction system comprises electric power extraction means 4 in feed line 2 and at least one electronic power circuit 18 including static traction transducer 38 for electric supply for at least one motor 6. This system incorporates static contactor-switch (CDS) (201, 202, 203; 301, 302, 303) arranged in between extraction means and every electronic power circuit controlled to open the circuit when current therein reaches predetermined threshold magnitude.

EFFECT: higher reliability, simplified servicing.
