FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing carbon nanomaterial involves preparing sphagnum moss, during which foreign impurities are released, drying to moisture content of not more than 10% and crushing the material; subjecting the crushed material to pyrolysis at temperature of 850-950°C for 1-2 hours, cooling to room temperature, after which amorphous carbon obtained during pyrolysis is mechanically activated in a vario-planetary mill for 7-10 hours.
EFFECT: invention provides high output of nanotubes with high purity.
