SUBSTANCE: iron (1) comprises: a base (2), a handle (3) movable relative to the base (2); an elastic element (9) displacing the handle to its upper position and enabling to displace the handle when force exertion by the user to it towards the lower position; the steam regulator (4) operatively connected to the handle (3) so that iron (1) steam release at least partially is regulated intuitively by force exerted to the handle (3) by the user; a console (6) connected to the base (2) and equipped with at least one control button (7); and at least one recess (5) in the handle at least partially accommodating the console (6), the console (6) and the handle (3) are configured so that at least one control button (7) can be operated using the same hand that holds the handle (3).
