FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method for formation of a toothed rack (45) (for instance, of a type, which is used in a toothed system of rack gear), suitable for use in a guide of a stairlift, includes provision of multiple (30) extended strips (10) and fixation of multiple strips to each other in the form of a stack of strips to form the toothed rack. At the same time the profiles of the stack are levelled, profiled for shaping the toothed rack. The fixation comprises at least one of the following: soldering, induction soldering, copper soldering, contact soldering, roller soldering and laser soldering. The toothed rack is bent with preservation of mutual arrangement of adjacent strips. Preferably the profile provides for the toothed rack, along which the toothed wheel of the stairlift may move. The toothed rack may be generated during a continuous process.
EFFECT: simplified manufacturing of a rack.
