SUBSTANCE: display device includes control signal main connecting lines (71), which transmit control signals, such as clock signals, generated from the metal film (701) of a source in a region on the opposite side of the display region relative to the region of a shift register. The main connecting line (73) VSS for transmitting low-level potential of supply direct current is formed from a source metal film (701) in the region between a shift register region and a display region. Each of the bistable circuits forming the shift register (410) and the control signal main connecting line (71) are connected by a control signal branching connecting line formed from a gate metal film (702). Each bistable circuit and main connecting line (73) VSS are connected by a branching connecting line (74) VSS, formed from a source metal film (701).
EFFECT: low power consumption without deterioration of display quality.
