FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: half-finished receiver is heated first in stagnated argon to 710-720°C at the heating rate of 25-35°C per minute, matured for a time ensuring alpha to gamma phase transition, then heated to tempering temperature of 1000°C, and cooled in argon flow with ageing at gamma to alpha phase transition temperature at the cooling rate of 30-35°C per minute.
EFFECT: improved stability and balance of receiver made of martensite ageing steel in standard and critical situations during shooting due to stable and homogeneous steel structure.
