FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to automotive industry, particularly with gear shifting. Method of determination of gearshift steps consists in determination of time required for engine to change from first rpm at first point in time to second rpm at second point in time. Low gear IN point is the engine first rpm. High gear IN point is the engine second rpm. Proposed method consists in using low or high gear IN point at gear shifting by carrier gearbox. Gearshift steps are defined in compliance with determination of gearshift steps. System to this end comprises control unit to control carrier gearbox. Carrier, say, truck or autobus can incorporate above described system.
EFFECT: adequate determination.
