FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gyroscopic systems and can be used for azimuthal orientation of a three-axis gyrostabilizer platform in high-precision navigation systems. Method of determining the azimuth of the platform of a triaxial gyrostabilizer by measuring the angle of rotation of one of the gyroscopes consists in that the platform of the triaxial gyrostabilizer is brought along the azimuth to the meridian, one of gyroscopes is disconnected from platform stabilization system and used in two-degree gyrocompass mode. Platform leveling and stabilization relative to appropriate stabilization axis is performed by accelerometer by its disconnection from gyroscope moment sensor and connection via amplifier to stabilization motor. At that, the gyroscope body used in the two-degree gyrocompass mode is turned during the measurements by the asynchronous motor, and the azimuthal orientation of the triaxial gyrostabilizer platform is carried out by processing information on signals taken from the gyroscope angle sensor.

EFFECT: high accuracy and shorter time for azimuthal orientation of the three-axis gyrostabilizer platform.
