FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: hardened billets of chromium-based alloy "Х65НВФТ" is subjected to softening thermal treatment. Said treatment comprises annealing at 900°C with isothermal curing for 16 hours and slow cooling at the rate of 30-50°C/h after isothermal treatment to 650-550°C and then, cooling in air.
EFFECT: higher hardness, stable properties at machining.
