SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reactor vessels with radial flow. The reactor has a cylindrical jacket of a vessel, having a vertical longitudinal axis, a top cover and a bottom cover, a bottom support plate situated inside the jacket and connected to the bottom cover; a cylindrical porous external basket, lying concentrically inside the jacket along the longitudinal axis and perpendicular to the top cover and the bottom support plate; and a cylindrical porous internal basket, lying concentrically inside the porous external basket along the longitudinal axis and having a continuous section attached to the external cover of the vessel, a porous section attached to the bottom support plate and a detachable section mounted in between. The method of loading the reactor comprises steps of removing the detachable section from the internal basket and tightly loading one or more layers of active materials around the space through the opening formed by removing the detachable section, using a loading device and then refitting the detachable section before operation.
EFFECT: invention provides uniform loading of active materials into the reactor, high efficiency and reliability.
