FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline valve engineering, in particular, to shutoff valves, and intended for blocking of the pipeline flow area by means of manual or power-operated drive. A shutoff valve comprises a casing with inlet and outlet branch pipes which are connected to a trim. The trim is made in the form of a cylinder installed in the casing at an angle to its axis. An opening with a seat is made in the cylinder bottom and a hole is provided in the cylinder wall on the side of the inlet branch pipe. The cylinder comprises a stem where a cone closing plug interacting with the seat is fixed and a piston installed after the closing plug at a distance exceeding the hole height which forms two cavities. A pipeline connecting the cavity after the piston with the outlet branch pipe is provided.
EFFECT: invention is designed to produce a valve of improved reliability, able of working in corrosive media under high forward pressure and high temperatures.
