FIELD: instrumentation; measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed invention refers to flow measuring devices of liquid metals with the help of the method based on interaction of moving liquid with magnetic field. In electromagnetic flow meter there are two pairs of electrodes, from which one pair of electrodes is in contact with external wall of pipe, and second pair of electrodes is introduced inside pipeline to contact with boundary layer of liquid metal isolated from pipeline wall. Measuring device has two measurement channels connected to corresponding pairs of electrodes. Possibility of measuring flow rate of liquid metals: lead (Pb), alloy of lead and bismuth (Pb44.5 %Bi55.5 %) etc., having low wettability with pipe wall and, consequently, unstable electric contact with channel wall.

EFFECT: possibility of measuring flow rate of liquid metals.
