SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering and specifically to methods of delivering advertising information on the Internet. The method of delivering information involves receiving a data stream in a wireless communication node. The method also involves identifying, in the wireless communication network node, a first trend associated with a first attribute in the data stream by executing an algorithm for detecting a first trend if the first attribute is associated with a flat trend. Furthermore, an algorithm for detecting a second trend is executed if the first attribute is associated with a hierarchical trend.
EFFECT: reduced amount of data to be stored to deliver targeted advertisements, needed for storage, owing to a trend identification mechanism associated with one or more data stream attributes.
