SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. A blood pressure measurement device according to a method for volume compensation comprises a cuff, a manometer unit, a first volume determination unit in the pre-set position of the cuff, for determining the volume of the first artery in a place of measurement, a second volume determination unit for determining the volume of the second artery in the place of measurement, a determination processor for performing a procedure of determining a target value of servo-control; a servo-control unit for performing servo-control; a blood pressure measurement unit for determining a cuff pressure; a congestion detection unit for detecting a congestion from the peripheral side on the basis of an output signal from the second volume determination unit over the period of servo-control. The servo-control is performed so that a volume difference of the first artery and a target value of the servo-control is less than or equal to the pre-set value. The blood pressure is measured once the rangeability of the first artery volume is less than or equal to the pre-set value according to the servo-control. The device also comprises a break processor assembly for breaking the measurement procedure once the congestion detection unit detects a congestion, and/or an alert processor assembly for providing the congestion information once the congestion detection unit detects a congestion.
EFFECT: using the invention enables providing the more effective blood pressure measurement.
