FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to laboratory clinical diagnosis, and concerns a method for determining the change pattern of erythrocyte sedimentation rate. The method involves: mixing a blood sample to be analysed with an anticoagulant; sampling the prepared blood solution with the anticoagulant into a capillary tube; positioning it vertically; the blood solution with the anticoagulant is poured out with the use of an automatic measuring device into a hematocrit tube a lower end of which is hermetically sealed; the capillary tube is positioned vertically into a centrifuge seat; an erythrocyte-free plasma layer height is measured in a rotation mode of the centrifuge at an angular speed of no more than 50 rpm. The derived data are used to determine a maximum erythrocyte sedimentation rate; the plasma level height is measured by an pulse dynamic characteristics, an amplitude of which is fixed at two fold moments of time that are used to record a maximum erythrocyte sedimentation rate and a time constant, as well as a speed limit as a relation that are used to determine an actual erythrocyte sedimentation rate characteristics. Using the method provides more accurate determination of the actual erythrocyte sedimentation rate characteristics ensured by eliminating the systematic and tracking error of measurement.

EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of determining the change pattern of the erythrocyte sedimentation rate by several orders, and the efficiency by not less than in 3 times.
