FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to invasive medical devices. A medical probe contains an introduced tube, which has a longitudinal axis and a distal end, a distal tip, located on the distal end of the introduced tube and configured for bringing into contact with body tissue, joint, which connects the distal tip with the distal end of the introduced tube, and a sensor of joint, enclosed inside the probe, to distinguish position of the distal tip relative to the distal end of the introduced tube; the sensor of joint contains the first and second subunits, which are located inside the probe on the opposite respective sides of the joint, and each subunit contains one or more magnetic measuring converters. The joint contains an elastic element, configured in such a way as to deform in response to pressure applied to the distal tip, when it comes in contact with tissue, with the said elastic element containing a tubular component from an elastic material, which has a screw cut along a part of the component length. A device for performing medical procedure includes a probe and a processor, which is connected with possibility to supply current to one of the first and second subunits, making in such a way one of subunits generate, at least, one magnetic field, and for reception and processing one or more signals, output by the other one from first and second subunits with respect to the said one, to identify changes in position of the distal tip relative to the distal end of the introduced tube. A device for identifying travel of the joint in the unit contains the first and second sensor subunits, which are located inside the unit on opposite respective sides of the joint, and each subunit contains one or more magnetic measuring converters, and a processor, made with possibility of identification of axial compression of the joint and angular deviation of the joint by processing one or more signals. Method of performing medical procedure on tissues in the patient's body includes application of the probe in the body and its travel in such a way as to bring the distal tip in contact and apply pressure on tissue, supply of current to one of the first and second subunits, and reception and processing of one or more signals, output by the other of the first and second subunits relative to the said one, at least, one magnetic field in such a way as to identify a change in position of the distal tip.
EFFECT: application of the invention makes it possible to increase reliability and easiness of catheter manipulation in the body.
