FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: calibration device comprises a hold element, wherein a probe is inserted so that the distal tip of the probe adjoins a point in the hold element. A sensitive device connected to the hold element provides the second measurements of the mechanical force applied by the distal tip to the point of the hold element. A calibration processor is configured to receive the first measurements from the probe, the second measurements from the sensitive device and calculate one or more calibration coefficients on the basis of the first and second measurements to assess pressure as the function of the first measurements.
EFFECT: providing the first measurements sensitive to deformation of the distal tip in relation to the distal tip of the probe in response to the distal end of the probe in response to the pressure applied to the distal tip.
