FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: shaft is reconditioned by welding two filler wires on the shaft opposite sides. Note here that accurate relative position of said wires is ensured by jig plate with two through guide bores. The plane extending through axes of jig plate bores is perpendicular to shaft axis. Spacing between said axes equals the sum of shaft and filler wire diameters.
EFFECT: perfected method.
