FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: thermal detector comprises a leakproof casing with an entrance window transparent to the radiation being registered, before the window a dielectric substrate is set, covered by temperature-sensitive coating, made from the material with hysteresis dependence of the first-order phase transition semiconductor-metal, for example, a vanadium dioxide film, in the form of temperature-sensitive elements set along the concentrical circumferences with the radiuses increasing at every next circumference in the direction from the circle centre and forming a round receiving area. A compensation temperature-sensitive element is set outside the receiving area. Each temperature-sensitive element is fitted by signal and common electrodes connected to the contact areas placed along the substrate perimeter. The round receiving area is divided into four equal quadrants by two perpendicular gaps passing through its centre. The forms of the temperature-sensitive elements are the ring sectors of similar geometrical shape divided by circular gaps. Common electrodes are set at one radius of each quadrant and are connected with each other, the signal electrodes are set at the other radius of each quadrant at side sections of each ring sector of temperature-sensitive element and are connected by riser wires with the contact areas on the opposite side of the substrate.

EFFECT: improved measurement accuracy of energy density of laser output power and improved analysis accuracy for Gaussian distribution of energy density of laser output power along the beam section.
