FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: thermal receiver has a housing made in form of a flat rectangular metal-glass body consisting of a base with leads which are electrically connected to contact pads around a substrate, and a cover with a window. Heat-sensitive elements are aligned on the plane of the reception area in form of a mosaic from elements lying in concentric circles whose radii increase with each next circle by an equal value from the centre of the circle, where the said value is equal to twice the size of the element compared to the previous element. The heat-sensitive elements on each circle are equidistant from each other and the minimum allowable distance between neighbouring elements is equal to the size of the element. There is compensation element outside the reception area.
EFFECT: more accurate measurement of spatial-energy characteristics of optical radiation, reduced volume and weight of the device and automation of its operation.
