FIELD: testing technology.
SUBSTANCE: method is implemented using the device (10) which comprises the image sensor, the light source (26) of lighting and the means (18, 22) of relative displacement of the image sensor (24), the light source (26) and the mechanical part (14). The three-dimensional survey of the surface of the part is carried out, the laying-out of the part surface for the areas is determined, the trajectory of the image sensor and the light source is determined relating to the part, and the images of the said areas of the part surface are obtained. Additionally, these images are analysed, and strongly or weakly exposed areas are identified; the optical parameters of obtaining the images of these areas are optimised, and the second laying-out of the part surface taking into account the optimising of the said optical parameters is determined; the new trajectory of the image sensor and the light source is determined to obtain the image of the part surface using the second laying-out and optimised optical parameters; the images of these areas are obtained with the new trajectory, and these images are recorded in the memory; the possible defects in the part surface in the recorded images are detected automatically, and they are compared with the known defects recorded in the database.
EFFECT: providing automatic processing and optimisation of the images obtained.
