SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coating composition. The coating composition contains: a) a film-forming resin binder, and b) a copolymer obtained via controlled polymerisation or radical polymerisation, which contains a monomer (M1x), selected from unsaturated monomers from the group (meth)acrylates, styrene monomers or (meth)acrylamides, where said copolymer contains at least >30 wt % (meth)acrylates; and a monomer (M2y), selected from 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl(meth)acrylate, 2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropyl(meth)acrylate and 2,2,3,4,4,4-hexafluorobutyl(meth)acrylate; x denotes the total number of monomer M1 in the structural element (M1x):x>5, y denotes the total number of monomers M2 in the structural element (M2y):y>1. Disclosed also is use of the copolymer as a levelling agent for pigmented and non-pigmented coating compositions.
EFFECT: copolymer and composition are characterised by good levelling properties.
