FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: modular bottle cap comprises one or more outer surfaces defining an empty inner space, a number of spaced engagement elements protruding outwardly from the outer surfaces, the element of interfacing with the bottle cap, formed in the empty inner space, and a connecting section coinciding with the edge of the cap or deepened from it. The connecting section engages by friction with engagement elements of another one cap, by which one or more caps are connected together. The said several engagement elements that protrude from the upper surface or the side wall of the cap, are located on areas. The side of each engagement element in the area determines the location of the contact surfaces of essentially equal shape and length with the perimeter of the selected part of the connecting section.

EFFECT: as desired mounting system can be mounted from several caps, the users will be encouraged not to throw away the bottle caps, thus achieving the environmental benefit.
