FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing silica gel with an immobilised formazan functional group from 3-aminopropyl silica gel, which involves acylation with an acyl chloride of nitrobenzoic acid in a chloroform medium in the presence of triethylamine at temperature not higher than 50°C for 24 hours, further reduction with sodium dithionite in a medium of water-ethyl cellosolve while boiling for not less than 3 hours, followed by diazotation and reaction with a compound having a hydrazone functional group at temperature not higher than -5°C.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain silica gel with an immobilised formazan group, wherein the formazan is covalently bonded to a matrix, which significantly broadens the field of use.
