FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: scope of application: for the measurement of the thickness of material deposit on the inner wall of a structure. The essence of the invention consists in the fact that a) a part of the structure is heated; b) vibrations on the heated section are detected; c) vibrations on the unheated section of the structure are detected; d) resonance frequency or frequencies of the structure are defined on the basis of the vibrations detected on the stage c); e) thickness of the material deposits on the inner structure wall on the said unheated section are determined using the defined resonance frequency or frequencies, at this stage the vibrations defined on the stage b) are used as calibration data.
EFFECT: improved accuracy at the determination of the thickness of the material deposits on the inner structure wall.
