SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of genetic research, molecular biology, clinical biochemistry, medicine, veterinary science, pharmacology, endocrinology. Method includes combined determination of activity of serine proteinase-hepsin and methylated gene glutathione-8-transferase of class P1 (GSTP1) in tumour cells detected in patients urine, and if hepsin activity is more than 42% relative to control and detection of methylated gene GSTP1, oncological disease is diagnosed.

EFFECT: provides for differential diagnostics of prostate, such as prostate adenoma (innocent hyperplasia), prostatitis, prostatic intraepithelial hyperplasia, prostate cancer, and provides for non-invasiveness and increased possibility of correct diagnosis.
