FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 2,2'-dichlorodiethylformal, which is an initial monomer for producing polysulphide oligomers. The raw product used in the disclosed method is 1-chloromethyl-2'-chloroethyl ether, which is synthesised from ethylene chlorohydrin, paraformaldehyde and hydrogen chloride. The 2,2'-dichlorodiethylformal is obtained by reacting 1-chloromethyl-2'-chloroethyl ether with ethylene chlorohydrin in molar ratio of 1:1 at temperature of 85-90°C, and the hydrogen chloride released during the reaction is recycled to the 1-chloromethyl-2'-chloroethyl ether synthesis step.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain an end product with high content of the basic substance using a cheap and wasteless method.
