FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: patient is massaged by placing massage therapist's hands on the patient's body at 45° to the orientation of the exposed tissue fibres. The skin is displaced until feeling a resistance. When feeling the resistance, the massage therapist presses with his/her hands and makes a pause until it is possible to displace the skin further along the muscular fibres. Thereafter the massage exposure covers the whole massaged region. The procedures are performed 2 times a week; the number of sessions makes 4-10. The massage exposure can be performed by applying sea-floor deposited minerals representing pressed shells, shellfish and corals on the patient's body.
EFFECT: method provides fast management of acute pain, including those resulted from muscle spasms accompanied by surrounding tissue oedemas, an increase in the range of motion by developing a specific technique for gentle static exposure targeted at the recovery of microcirculation and other natural processes in muscles and tissues, promoting metabolite outflow from a pathological focus.
