FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in measurement of engine crankshaft angular displacement from the moment of the first cylinder intake valve opening to position corresponding to cylinder piston TDC. measurement of engine crankshaft angular displacement is carried out at running engine via measurement of camshaft displacement angle. Numerical values of said displacement is defined with the help of electric gadget, TDC transducer (11) and transducer (12) of the position of valve (17). Produced double numerical value of measured angle corresponding to crankshaft displacement angle is compared with specifications to decide on timing gear operating conditions. Invention covers also the design of camshaft angular displacement transducer.
EFFECT: higher validity of timing phases measurement.
