FIELD: testing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of research of devices for sealing and can be used for testing leakage from closed containers at least partially filled with gas. The essence: the container (1) is exposed to pressure of the test gas (g(s)) within a certain time period. The test gas (g(s)) has a component (s) of the gas. The amount of the corresponding component (s) of gas which penetrated into the container (1) is determined by the plant (7) of determining as an indication of leakage. At that the plant (7) of determining comprises a laser unit generating a laser beam directed onto the container (1), and the test gas comprises oxygen.
EFFECT: increasing reliability of leaking detection.
