FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: novelty of the invention consists in that control over operation of ICE with self-ignition, decrease in s in roughness of its operation and toxicity of exhaust gases are ensured by controlled preheating of fuel fed to combustion chamber at compression stroke. Note here that fuel heating amount is varied subject to used fuel type, engine load and rpm indices. Note also that at increased amount of preheating, ignition delay period is decreased, roughness of engine operation and toxicity of used gases are decreased.
EFFECT: reduced roughness of engine operation, and used gas toxicity.
