FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, mainly engine building. Method is proposed for reducing the ignition delay of a fuel in a diesel engine, in which a portion of the fuel injected into the combustion chamber of the engine using a nozzle, by means of a high-frequency oscillation generator installed on the high-pressure fuel line at the inlet to the nozzle, heat is supplied equal to the activation energy of oxidation of the fuel portion.
EFFECT: application of the proposed method allows to expand the limit of forcing the engine at the average effective pressure, while increasing the power and efficiency of the engine.
