FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering and can be used for fuel ignition in ICE, primarily, piston and rotary piston engines. This invention consists in controlled preheating of the engine before fuel self-ignition in combustion chamber to allow engine running on whatever hydrocarbon fuel of whatever distillation that can self ignite. Fuel control preheating is effected by Joule heat and heat energy of engine exhaust gas downstream of high-pressure fuel pump so that fuel heat energy use factor is increased owing to application of exhaust gas energy and engine electric power consumption fir fuel heating is decreased.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
