FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal cutting, particularly, to cutting tool cooling and lubing with the help of lubricant-coolers and components. Proposed method comprises feed of distilled water microdoses in amount of 0.05-4.5 g/h by gas flow activated by electric discharges and cooled down to 0°C to -20°C. Gas flow cooling by water microdoses at 0°C to -20°C is performed in two steps. Note here that at first step it is cooled in Ranque-Hilsch tube from 20-24°C to 10-14°C till 1-2°C at inlet gas flow pressure of 1-4 atm. and, with the help of Laval nozzle, to 0 to -20°C at second step.
EFFECT: higher hardness of metal cutting tools.
