FIELD: working metals by cutting.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes nozzle for forming flow of cutting fluid. In order to increase strength of metal cutting tools said nozzle is in the form of Laval's nozzle. Apparatus also includes additional outer nozzle, gas conduit and reservoir with liquid or solid lubricating component to be fed to nozzle for forming flow of cutting fluid. Flow of gaseous cutting fluid is separated by three parts; first part is fed to inlet of Laval nozzle, second part is fed through reservoir to diffuser portion of said nozzle and third part is fed to outer nozzle through gas conduit. Apparatus may be designed for supplying ionized or non-ionized cutting fluid. Diameter of outer nozzle may consist of 2 - 15 diameters of Laval's nozzle. Spacing between outlet cross sections of nozzles is in range 5 - 25 mm.
EFFECT: enhanced strength of metal cutting tools.
