FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method includes feeding to the cutting zone a lubricating-cooling process agent in the form of a gas stream with microdoses of distilled water in an amount of 0.05–4.5 g/h at a temperature of 0 to minus 20 °C, activated by electrical discharges of the corona electrode of the activating device. Cooling of the gas stream with micro-doses of water is carried out by means of a Peltier element, installed immediately before the corona electrode of the activation device.
EFFECT: increased durability of the cutting tool is achieved by increasing the efficiency of its cooling.
