FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing novel N-hydroxymethylamines containing a heme-dichlorocyclopropanemethyl or cycloacetal-methyl fragment. Obtained compounds can be used as intermediates in the synthesis of corrosion inhibitors of metals. Method consists in the fact that condensing a corresponding secondary amine containing heme-dichlorocyclopropane-methyl or a cycloacetalmethyl fragment, with formaldehyde in a solvent medium in the presence of ferric chloride hexahydrate (III) FeCl3⋅6H2O. Preferably, the process is carried out at a temperature of 50°C for 5 hours. reaction of formaldehyde with N-benzyl-1-(2,2-dichlorocyclopropyl)methanamine is usually carried out in a mixture of ethanol and chloroform at the following components ratio, mass%: N-benzyl-1-(2,2-dichlorocyclopropyl)methanamine 16.5; chloroform 52.6; ethanol 28; formaldehyde 2; iron chloride hexahydrate 0.9. Reaction of formaldehyde with N-benzyl-1-(1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methanamine and N-benzyl-1-(1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)methanamine is usually carried out in a mixture of ethanol and chloroform as solvent at the following components ratio, mass%: N-benzyl-1-(1,3-dioxolane)methanamine 14; chloroform 54.1; ethanol 28.8; formaldehyde 2.2; iron chloride hexahydrate 0.9.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain high quality products with high output (65-75%).
