FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining quartz ceramics includes production of slip from broken quartz glass, formation of a raw material blank by a method of casting in gypsum moulds, soaking the raw material blank with a liquid soaking solution, drying the soaked blank of quartz ceramics and following thermal processing. The soaking solution contains a mixture of Al(NO3)3, tetraethoxysilane, ethanol and water, the molar ratio of components provides in the soaking solution pH≥4, and thermal processing of the soaked quartz ceramics blank is realised at a temperature of 950-1200°C.
EFFECT: increase of strength and heat resistance of the products.
