FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle where torque from engine is selectively transferred to front or rear wheels. The vehicle contains controller for real-time determination of vehicle motion mode and to control torque distribution through system of clutches according to mode being determined. To control torque distribution following parameters are determined: vehicle yaw rate, time derivative of steering angle, vehicle longitudinal acceleration, vehicle lateral acceleration, yaw acceleration which is time derivative of yaw rate, time derivative of accelerator pedal position. Each of the mentioned parameters is compared with corresponding threshold, and sum of parameter values is determined. Depending on obtained sum of values or vehicle longitudinal speed, or accelerator pedal position, four-wheel or two-wheel drive mode is introduced.
EFFECT: improved vehicle characteristics.
