SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. A method for pulse wave analysis is implemented by means of a pulse wave analyser. That involves forming a pulse wave signal of one cardiac contraction by a pressure sensor. The formed signal is transformed into a digital signal by a digital transformation unit. That is followed by forming a signal of a quartic derivative from an original signal form on the basis of the transformed digital signal by a quartic differentiation filter. A calculation unit is used to calculate the extremum point of the signal of the quartic derivative; the pulse wave signal form is sectioned on a reflected wave area and an area of missing the reflected wave, and a characteristic point of the reflected wave is recovered. A start point of the reflected wave area is found on the basis of the extremum point of the signal form of the quartic derivative; the final point of the reflected wave area is found on the basis of an amplitude of the signal form of the quartic derivative, and the convergence time of the reflected wave is calculated as an index.
EFFECT: using the invention enables providing more accurate determination of the convergence time of the reflected wave.
