Invention gist is thatdetermination of defects orientation on different product layers, creation of a defect orientation atlas, registration of a defect by creating a contour and assigning the defect to a certain layer by comparing the orientation of the detected defect with the orientation of possible defects on different layers of the structure.

EFFECT: increased information content of non-destructive testing of multilayer products and reduced error in determining the depth of defects.
