FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to braking systems of rail vehicles. Proposed braking system contains multiple braking actuators and sensing device. If one braking actuator of braking system has deviation of measured value time characteristic from its set or expected time characteristic that exceeds allowed deviation control unit increases braking force of that braking actuator and for compensation decreases braking force generated by other braking actuator which has deviation of measured value time characteristic from its set or expected time characteristic that is less than allowed deviation. Sum of thus obtained actual braking forces of braking actuators corresponds to set total braking force that suits braking requirement.

EFFECT: braking system control method consists in the following: if one braking actuator of braking system has deviation of measured value time characteristic from its set or expected time characteristic that exceeds allowed deviation braking force of that braking actuator is increased, and for compensation a braking force generated by other braking actuator which has deviation of measured value time characteristic from its set or expected time characteristic that is less than allowed deviation is decreased so that sum of thus obtained actual braking forces of braking actuators corresponds to set total braking force that suits braking requirement.
