FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for studying pathogenesis mechanisms of the combined radiation injuries (CRI), including mutual load phenomenon, as well as for testing new methods and agents for prevention and treatment. The simulation is ensured by the sequential radiation exposure on rats. General Y-radiation is first generated. The skin is dehaired with 10% sodium sulphide and locally exposed to hard X-rays. To protect animal's body from the X-rays, a lead plate is subcutaneously implanted surgically. What is used is the plate having a linear slot enabling the local exposure of the back skin in accordance with an injury area of 10% body injury in rats.
EFFECT: method enables reproducing radiation disease and deep radiation burns of the same severity and studying the effect of the injury area and intensity on the clinical course and outcome of CRI depending on the specified total radiation doses.
