FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: in the claimed method molybdenum salt, which contains a wide spectrum of admixtures both radioactive and non-radioactive, applied on a substrate of a heat-resistant material due to evaporation of an initial solution, is exposed to laser radiation with a frequency from 40 to 50 kHz, pulse duration 4 ns, rate from 1000 to 2000 mm/s and power from 1 to 100% of the maximal laser installation power. A device for realisation of the method of sublimation purification of molybdenum-99 salt from accompanying radioactive and chemical admixtures consists of the substrate, made of the heat-resistant material, a separating ring from metal with a rim height from 0.1 to 1.0 mm, a covering glass, performing the role of a detachable refrigerator.
EFFECT: reduction of the time, required for molybdenum-99 purification.
